Your partner for resharpening of tools

We restore your cutters and drills to new condition or better. Our specialty is gear milling tools

Resharpening of cutters, drills, etc

If you want your tools to have the same or even better performance than new tools, we can help you. We perform resharpening of your tools and, if you wish, we also take care of preparation of the tool's surfaces and cutting edges before and after any surface coating

What do we do?

All our service is based on our long experience and solid knowledge of materials and how they wear. We are experts in Tribology (the science of friction, wear and lubrication) and tool grinding.

Analyzes

Do you have problems with tool breakdowns or unpredictable tool life or do you feel that your materials have varied properties? We offer fast breakdown and material analyses. We also perform tribological testing of materials

Support

Of course, we will help you with problems and when you want to make the use of your tools more efficient.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

A different approach, including a new grinding technique is used to optimize the performance of your tools

What we do

All our service is based on our long experience and solid knowledge of materials and how tools are worn. We are experts in Tribology (the science of friction, wear and lubrication) and tool grinding.

M3R Tools has developed its own technology to optimize the surfaces of the tool before and after any surface coating. The technology used is unique. It provides a very high quality of surfaces and cutting edges, which in turn contributes to the tools having an optimized and predictable performance.

Quality

Tools that receive a repeatable and controlled low wear result in an improved quality of manufactured part.

Productivity

Tools with optimized cutting edge surfaces provide the best possible conditions for shortening cycle times.

Tool cost

Optimized tools mean longer service life. In combination with the fact that we optimize based on your goals, this always results in lower tool costs.

Focus on development

Tools with optimized cutting edges provide peace and quiet in the workshop, which in turn means that the focus can be shifted to development instead of it always being on problem solving.

FAQ

Answers to common questions

  • We always start with an initial analysis to understand how the tools are worn and if the wear is in line with what can be expected in your application. This means that we want to analyze a used tool and a small piece of your work material.

  • We do not have our own coating machine. Instead we use the suppliers who are on the market and the one you prefer to use. If you want, we are happy to help you choose the best surface coating.

  • We do not resharpen all types of tools in Köping, but some tools we resharpen via our partners. However, all gear tools are reground in Köping.

  • We can do material analysis and advanced analysis in the electron microscope. We can also provide analysis of your lubricants.
